Design is a verb.

As a designer, my objective is to drive incremental value through continuous iteration, learning, and feedback.

My process is rooted in co-design where cross-functional teams grapple with problems together. I believe that outcomes are stronger when teams share a deep understanding of the 'why.' My strengths include initiating smart design tradeoffs with a focus on scale.

My approach

My professional experience spans end-to-end product design:

  • User research & synthesis

  • Problem definition workshops

  • Information architecture & taxonomy systems

  • Service design & journey maps

  • UI component design & documentation

  • Design system contribution & governance

  • Sprint-style design cadence in an agile environment

  • Usability testing

  • Success validation & iteration

My former life

Career transition • Pre-2020

In 2020, I formally transitioned into tech by completing the 9-month Springboard UI/UX Career Track Bootcamp.

Prior to this, I built a career in hospitality management in Washington, D.C. as Assistant General Manager for Boqueria Restaurants, overseeing daily operations, employee recruiting, training, inventory, vendor relations, and resolving guest issues. This fast-paced, high-volume workplace honed my soft skills critical to executing with excellence, efficiency, and teamwork.

Volunteer experience

Chi Hack Night

Chi Hack Night is a weekly civic tech event in Chicago to build, share and learn about tools to create, support, and serve the public good.

My group has been developing an app to connect prospective volunteers with opportunities and organizations in the city, and we’re in the final stages before launching to a beta group of vetted local organizations.
